INFINITI Q70 was a mid-size luxury car that released in 2013 for the 2014 model year, as an update to the INFINITI M series. It was built on the Nissan FM platform and succeeded the INFINITI Q45, a full-size car that had run until 2006. The car's design was based on both the Mitsubishi Dignity and Nissan Cima, a limousine and a luxury sedan, respectively.
Initially, the model incorporated one of three engines, depending on trim: a 3.7-liter V6, a 5.6-liter V8, or, in the case of the hybrid variant, a 3.5-liter V6 paired with an electric motor. All of them mated to seven-speed automatic transmissions, and, depending on the model year, both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) were available.
Features over the years ranged widely. For one, you could get rain-sensing windshield wipers, keyless ignition, and Bose audio, along with perks like heated front seats and Japanese ash wood trim. Options came in the form of Premium, Deluxe Touring and Technology Packages, sporting power rear sunshades, driver-assist features galore, adaptive front lighting, and more, depending on which you chose. There was also a Sport Package available with everything from a tuned suspension and four-wheel active steering to unique trim, sport brakes, and more. The model went out of production in 2019.
