In good weather or bad, a wet or dirty windshield can make it a lot harder to see the road. Luckily, your INFINITI has a dependable pair of genuine OEM windshield wipers to sweep obstructions away, complete with a set of brand-name wiper blades.
Wipers and blades are different from one another, though. The former are pivoting, motor-driven metal arms. The latter are long rubber attachments mounted on the end of each arm; they do the actual wiping. Most INFINITI vehicles these days have two of both (or three, if this or that model supports a rear wiper), and their speeds adjust, often between continuous and intermittent. Paired with the proper factory windshield washer system and washer pump, they can loosen and remove even the toughest muck, too.
Unfortunately, neither wiper nor blade last indefinitely. You'll need to change them both when you start to notice the signs and symptoms of their failure. They include everything from cracking rubber and bent or broken frames to streaking and squeaking during use, not to mention detachment (the result of failing adhesive, most of the time). All generally indicate that neither is contacting your windshield well enough to clean properly.
To make matters worse, wiper blade sizes can vary, so it can be tough to determine what size your INFINITI model needs. The one on your driver's side, for example, is slightly larger than the one on your passenger side, and your rear wiper blade, if you have one, can be even smaller than that. Luckily, figuring things out is as easy as consulting your owner's manual. Otherwise, you can quickly measure the full length of the blade only using a tool like a tape measure.
If all else fails, though, not to worry -- we've got a complete catalog you can browse by model and model year to find a guaranteed fit.
