INFINITI Cargo Tray 101
What Do INFINITI Cargo Trays Do?
There are two ways to haul with your INFINITI car or SUV: by trailering, or in interior accessories like cargo trays. You might call them cargo mats or sometimes cargo liners, but all three have the same job: to organize luggage. Much like your floor mats, they can also help protect the upholstery and plastics that comprise your car floors from dirt, moisture, and impact damage.
What Are INFINITI Cargo Trays Made Of?
And, like a cargo organizer, a cargo tray can be made of just about anything. Most, though, are either fabric/carpet, durable rubber, or tough vinyl. Some are rigid and more stable, while others are flexible and collapse for easier storage. Even a tray's finish can vary; it's usually either textured or smooth. A textured cargo tray, for instance, is great at helping prevent baggage sliding and bumping into things in the trunk. Some trays even meet or exceed NHTSA FMVSS No. 302 standards for interior materials flammability, meaning they're fire-resistant.
How Do You Install An INFINITI Cargo Tray?
Best of all, they're as easy to install as they are to maintain and keep clean. Lay one flat in the trunk or put a mat or liner in the cargo hold, and you'll be packing up and hitting the road in no time. Most trays wash down using just soap and water, and some, you can spray down during a car-wash trip.
Just get the right size for your model, as the trunk space in an INFINITI Q50 sedan is significantly smaller than the cargo space in an INFINITI QX80 SUV -- up to 80 cubic feet less when you fold the rear seats in the SUV, as a matter of fact!
