No results found for "emblem". Here are some helpful search tips:

            • Search by a part name. Example: water pump.
            • Be less specific. Example: brake instead of ceramic brake.
            • Remove information such as make, year or model.

            Genuine INFINITI Emblems

Emblems are the parts people notice missing. They come off in car washes, they get stolen off deck lids, and the adhesive behind them gives up after enough summers of heat. Replacing one is a small job with a visible result, which is why this is one of the most searched categories on the site.

Every Position Is a Different Part

The catalog is organized by where the emblem sits, and the four groups are not interchangeable. Hatch emblems are the largest group, followed by deck lid emblems, fender emblems and grille emblems. A hatch emblem for a JX35, part 90895-3JA0A, is not the deck lid emblem from a sedan, and the grille emblem 62890-AM601 for the sedan is its own part again. Even within a model, the coupe and the sedan often take different pieces: part 84890-JL60A is specifically the coupe emblem.

Match the Finish, Not Just the Shape

INFINITI has used chrome, black and body-colored emblems across the range, and photographs online are unreliable for judging which one you have. The safest approach is to order by part number from your VIN rather than by what looks closest. An emblem in the wrong finish is more obvious on the car than no emblem at all.

            Brackets and Grilles

Grille emblems mount to a bracket, and the bracket is a separate part that often breaks when the emblem is pried off or when something hits the grille. If your grille emblem is loose or sitting crooked, the bracket behind it is usually the reason. The page also carries complete grilles, which is the better route when the emblem area itself is cracked rather than just missing its badge.

            Installation Notes

Most emblems mount with adhesive, and the result depends almost entirely on preparation. Remove the old adhesive completely, clean the surface, and do the job in a warm garage rather than outside in the cold, because the tape does not bond properly below about 60 degrees. Position it once: adhesive backed emblems do not tolerate a second attempt.

Why They Come Off in the First Place

Three causes, in order. High pressure car washes catch the edge of an emblem that has started to lift and finish the job. Heat cycles break down the adhesive over years, especially on a deck lid that bakes in the sun. And emblems get stolen, which is common enough on certain models that owners replace them more than once. None of that is a defect, it is just what happens to a badge glued to a painted panel, and it is why this is a repeat purchase rather than a one time repair. If you are replacing more than one, do them at the same time. A single new badge against three that have faded and hazed is more noticeable than the missing one was, because the new piece is brighter than everything around it. Emblems age together on a car and they look right when they are replaced together.
