Types of INFINITI Lights

There's a light on your INFINITI car or SUV for nearly every use. Sure, you've got lighting that came with your car or SUV from the factory. Headlights are perhaps the commonest example, and a headlight works as both a high-beam for when it's extremely dark and a low-beam for normal driving. A headlamp, like a tail lamp, can also function as a hazard light; put them all together, and you've got "flashers." They tell other drivers that there's danger nearby. They can also signal that you need help.

You have more than your headlights and taillights, though. You also have daytime running lights (also called DRLs). They show drivers around you where you are on the road and off, not to mention how far away you are. You've even got "blinkers," signal lights that show you're turning or changing lanes, plus brake lights, which show you're slowing down and stopping.

But did you know that, depending on what INFINITI model you drive, you may have other types of OEM lighting, too? Fog lights are an example. They're low-glare and shine low for better visibility in bad weather. Puddle lights are another example yet. They illuminate the area below your vehicle doors to help you and your passengers avoid rainwater as you get in and out. You may even have specialty lights. They show off license plate frames and other exterior accessories.

Types of INFINITI Light Bulbs

Most car lights use halogen, high-intensity discharge (HID, for short; also called Xenon), or LED. What lighting does your INFINITI need? That depends on its body style and model, so check your owner's manual for the best answer. When to change a car light bulb, however, depends only on its kind. Replace halogen lights about every two years. Replace HID or Xenon lights every few years as they dim. Replace LED lights if their electronics fail or the lights themselves burn out.
