Your INFINITI Q50 sedan depends on pulleys to help parts move properly so that it can perform to your expectations. There are many that the factory installed, and they're all important.
Take the crank pulley, for example. It's attached to the engine crankshaft. The crankshaft spins as your engine runs, rotating the crank pulley. The crank pulley uses belts to transfer that motion to other pulleys that run such parts as the air conditioning compressor, power steering pump, and the alternator.
How to Spot Pulley Problems
Unfortunately, even high quality pulleys can eventually fail. Signs of trouble include an audible squeal coming from the belts, or visible wear-and-tear evident on the pulley's surface. When they go bad, belts have a harder time managing the parts. That's why you'll want to replace a faulty pulley ASAP.
